The main problem with this is that if you leave it and don’t treat it, it may cause you more health problems in the long-term.

Phlegm in the Lungs

Phlegm is a viscous substance secreted by the mucus of the ventilator system. It is sticky due to its protective role to catch viruses, dust, and allergies. And one of its primary purposes is preventing infections like colds.

When you feel that you need to cough, it means that you have excess mucus in your throat and also your chest. This can happen because of viruses, bacteria, flu, and so on.

The other symptoms are difficulty breathing, fever, weakness, and runny nose. The phlegm obstructs the bronchial tubes if it is not eliminated properly.
